Project Mumbai is a Mumbai-based not-for-profit Public Trust registered under the Public Trust Act 1950. People of Mumbai Metropolitan Region remain our purpose and Positive Change to their lives is our Commitment. Healthcare, Environment, Mobility and Transport, Governance and Citizenship and Volunteering are areas which we are focusing on. We are a model of Public Private People Partnership and work towards delivering social transformation through initiatives of scale. We have worked closely with MCGM in the last two years and the Government of Maharashtra as well.
In July, the United Nations awarded the Social Development Goals (SDG) Solidarity Action Aard 2020 to Project Mumbai for its humanitarian work during COVID 19.Only fifty organisations all over the world have been awarded this honour, Project Mumbai is one of them.
We are also delighted to share with you that the second edition—Plastic Recyclothon – Ek Baar Phir and Jallosh- Clean Coasts have now been featured in the Limca Book of Records –2020 edition as an Indian Record in people initiatives.
Keeping the challenges of COVID 19 in mind, we have been creating initiatives to help the elderly children from different strata of the society.
