The International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC)- was founded in 2001 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to create and extend support services for women and queer individuals affected by Domestic and Interpersonal Violence.
Dhwani Connect - 24*7 hotline for crisis support, counseling, rescue services, law enforcement and legal liasioning etc. Dhwani Support- which offers range of long terms rehabilitative services. These services are either offered directly by PCVC or other government or non-government organizations. Dhwani Outreach- This entails outreach to community groups of all kinds (youth, urban, semi-urban) to create awareness on interpersonal violence issues and available support services These include mass awareness campaigns through media (print and digital) and community based "I am Dhwani" Campaign in communities of different stakeholders.
To create impact on: More people are aware that domestic violence is a multifaceted issue in our society and that support services are available for the individuals facing violence. Ultimately having violence free, equal relationships.
